Site Set-Up, Availability and Parking

​The reunion will be held at Stephen Andrews's home and land at 403 Thompson Loop Road NE near Ranger, GA.  There is plenty of parking here and on adjacent acreage. A large 16' x 32' canopy and a Porta-Potty will be set up around noon on Saturday.  There will be 12 @ 6 ft tables, 100 folding chairs, a TV, extension cords, power strips, portable fans, strings of lights and red, white & blue decorations under the "Big Tent".

 

Hotels & Lodging

The reunion is on a holiday weekend so a block of 10 hotel rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Inn located at the I-75 and Hwy 53 Exit for out-of-town participants on a first come basis. The event rate of $119/night plus tax is for the reunion weekend starting from the check-in time at 3:00pm Friday 9/4/26 through the check-out time at 11:00am Tuesday 9/8/26.  The hotel is within 15 miles of the reunion location and there are also several restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.  Amenities include no smoking rooms, elevators, interior corridors, free breakfast, WiFi/internet, free coffee, exercise room, indoor pool, free parking and an EV charging station. Pets are allowed for an additional $20/night with maximum of 2 pets. Please visit the hotel website below or contact the hotel directly for any additional information.

The following hotels are also located at this exit in Calhoun and are all within 15 miles of the reunion site.  If you plan to stay at a hotel different from the block room rate one, please remember that the reunion is on a holiday weekend so room pricing is typically higher and room availability may be limited.

For those adventurous and young at heart, RV or tent camping and/or glamping is available at nearby Carters Lake and Salaoca Creek Park, both roughly 5-10 miles from the reunion site.  Various facilities, including restrooms, showers, and picnic shelters, are campground-specific and can be found on their websites.

Food and Beverages    (Also see the Events & Activities schedule page to help plan your meals)

Breakfast will be on your own on both mornings of the reunion days. 

Saturday will be a bring-your-own tailgate food and drinks event.  Grills will be available.  

Eating and serving utensils, plates, hot & cold cups, napkins, condiments, water and coffee will be available both days.

Bring your own pack(s) of canned soda beverages to cover whatever your crew prefers to drink for both days.

Beverages provided on Sunday will be sweet & diet tea, lemonade, water & coffee.

BBQ pulled pork, hot dogs, and hamburgers and buns will be provided for Sunday.

There will be a large Cousinpolooza Reunion party  (white) sheet cake (or cupcakes) on Sunday. 

For Sunday, we are requesting that participants also bring their family's signature potluck-style dish and/or an additional dessert. Tammy Warren (cell: 770/608-5583) and Iris Parker (cell: 706/270-4756) are coordinating the food, so please text or call to let them know what you plan to bring and/or to find out what else is needed.

 

Reunion Donation and Raffle Tickets

To help defray some of the basic underlying costs of the reunion (meats, beverages, supplies, etc), we are suggesting a donation of $5.00 for children ages 2-10 years and $10.00 per person ages 11-100 yrs.  Everyone will receive 1 raffle ticket for every $1.00 donated to go toward an opportunity to win Door Prizes.  Additional raffle tickets will also be available on event days at $1.00 each.

Reunion donations can be made in advance when you RSVP (preferred) and can also be paid in cash at the event.  Online donations can be made using one of the following mobile apps:
